Lakshmi Narayana Swamy Temple is dedicated to Hindu God Vishnu located at Madambakkam Village in Kanchipuram District of Tamilnadu. This temple is located at Madambakkam (this is different form the Madambakkam near Rajakilpakkam/ Selaiyur) 2 km to the west of Guduvancheri. This is considered to be a Pallava temple.
Navagraha shrine is normally not present in a Vishnu temple is seen here. In the sanctum sanctorum, Sri Lakshmi Narayana Perumal is seen keeping Sridevi at his left lap embracing her. Ladies do the Kadhara Gowri Vradha the day after Deepavali; Marriage prayers are answered. This area has thousands of neem trees and the air is filled with a healthy fragrance.
Madambakkam is an area in the west side of Guduvanchery town. A road from near the traffic signal runs west crossing the railway track leading to Madambakkam. Madambakkam village has a bus facility up to Chennai city Region T. Nagar and Tambaram. Mini buses and share autos are available to reach Guduvanchery railway station.
