Mooshika vahana storam
(The prayer to he who rides on a mouse)

(This is a very great and simple prayer addressed to Ganesa. Though there are many references to the first stanza, I could not find the entire stotra in the web.)

1.Mooshika Vahana modhaka hastha,
Chamara karna vilambitha suthra,
Vamana roopa maheswara puthra,
Vighna vinayaka pada namasthe

I salute the feet of the God who clears obstacles,
Who rides on a mouse, who keeps a modhaka in his hand,
Who has fan like ears, who wears a thread as belt,
And who has a dwarf form, who is the son of Lord Shiva.
A round lemon-sized sweet made of rice, coconut, sugar, etc

2.Deva deva sutham devam,
Jagat vighna nayakam,
Hasthiroopam maha kayam,
Surya koti Sama prabham.

He is the god, who is the son of God of gods,
Who is the lord of all obstacles in the world,
Who has an elephant form and a big body,
And who has the brilliance of billions of Suns.

3.Vamanam jatilam kantham,
Hruswa greevam mahodharam,
Dhoomra sindhoora gandam,
Vikatam prakatoth katam,

Short in stature, complicated, pleasing,
Having a short neck and a big belly,
Who has a smoke coloured red elephant’s forehead
Who is funny and clearly large.

4.Eka dantham pralamboshtam,
Naga Yagnopa veethinam,
Tryaksham gaja mukham krishnam,
Sukrutham Raktha vasasam.

Having one tusk and hanging lips,
Who wears snake as sacred thread,
Who has three eyes, elephant face and is black,
And who has done noble work and wears red cloths.

5.Dandha panim cha varadam,
Brahmanyam Brahma charinam,
Punyam ganapathim divyam,
Vigna rajam namayaham.

I salute the king of obstacles,
Who holds a tusk , who blesses,
Who knows Brahmam , who is a bachelor,
Who is auspicious, is the lord of ganas and is divine.

6.Devam Ganapathim Nadham,
Viswasyagre thu gaminam,
DEvaanaam adhikam sreshtam,
Nayakam, suvinayakam.

He is the god Ganapathy the leader of devas,
Who goes at the end of the universe,
Who is the greatest among devas,
Who is the leader and good Vinayaka.

7.Namami bhagwantham tham,
Adbhutham gana nayakam,
Vakra thunda prachandaya,
Ugrathundaya they nama.

I salute that God who,
Is a wonderful leader of Ganas,
Who is great with his curved broken tusk,
And salutations to the fierce one with a tusk

8.Chandaya guru chandaya,
Chanda chandaya they nama,
Mathonmatha pramathaya,
Nithya mathaya they nama.

Salutations to the fierce one,
And to the fierce teacher, fierce among fierce ones,
Salutations to the ever intoxicated one,
Who is intoxicated, mad, greatly intoxicated.

9.Umasutham namasyami,
Ganga puthraya they nama,
Omkaraya vashat kara,
Swahakaraya they nama.

Salutations to the Son of Uma,
Salutations to the son of Ganga,
Salutations to one who says,
“Om”, “vashat” and “swaha”.

10.Manthra moorthe maha yogin,
Jatha vedo namo nama,
Parswa pasaka hastaya,
Gaja hasthaya they nama.

Salutations to the form of mantras ,
To the great yogi and who was born with Vedas,
Salutations to one who has an elephant hand,
And the one who has a rope in his side hands.

11.Meghaya, megha varnaya,
Megheswaraya namo nama,
Ghoraya ghora roopaya,
Ghora ghoraya they nama.

Salutations to him who looks like a cloud,
Who is of the colour of the cloud and lord of clouds.
Salutations to the fierce one, who has a fierce form,
And is the most fiercer among the fierce ones.

12.Purana poorva poojyaya,
Purushaya namo nama,
Madothkata mamosthesthu,
Namasthe chanda Vikrama.

Salutations to that Purusha,
Who was worshipped even before epics,
Salutations to the one who is fierce by exuberance,
Salutations to the fierce warrior.

13.Vinayaka namosthsthu,
Namasthe bhaktha vathsala,
Bhaktha priyaya santhaya,
Maha thejasvine nama.

Salutations to Ganesa,
Salutations to him who is dear to devotees,
Salutations to the greatly shining one,
Who is dear to his devotees and peaceful.

14.yagnaya, Yagna hothre,
Yagnesaya namo nama,
Namasthe basma shuklanga.
Shukla malya dharaya cha.

Salutations to Lord of Yagna,
The Yagna itself and the one who conducts yagna.
Salutations to one whose organs are coated with ash,
And one who wears a white garland.

15.Mada klinna kapolaya, 
Ganadhipathaye nama,
AAkhu vahana devesa,
Yeka danthaya they nama,

Salutations to the leader of the ganas,
With cheeks wetted by musth
Salutations to God with one tusk,
And the God traveling on a mouse.

16.Soorpa karnaya shraaaya,
Deerga danthaya they nama,
Vignam harathu devesa,
Shiva puthro vinayaka.

Salutations to the one with long tusk,
Who is valorous and has winnow like ears,
Oh king of gods remove obstacles on my way,
Oh son of Shiva, Oh Vinayaka.

17.Yethan mooshika vahasya stotram,
Sandhya dwayam padeth,
Vipro bhavathi vedhadya,
Kshathriyo vijayi bhaveth,

By reading this prayer of the God,
Who rides on a mouse, twice at dusk and dawn,
A Brahmin will become an expert in Vedas.
And a Kshatriya would become victorious.

18.Vaisyasthu dhanavapnothi,
Shudhra papai pramuchyathe,
Garbhini janayeth puthram,
Kanya bharthara mapnuyath.

The businessman will get wealth,
The worker will get rid of his sins,
A pregnant woman would give birth to a son,
And an unmarried girl would get a husband.

19.Pravasee labhathe sthanam,
Badho bhandath pramuchyathe,
Ishta sidhimavapnothi,
Punathyasaptham kulam.

The stranger would get a place to stay,
The one in prison would be set free,
Also we would get the occult power that we like,
In seven rebirths of an individual.

20.Sarva mangala mangalyam,
Sarva papa pranasanam,
SArva kama pradham punyam,
Padatham srunvatham api

This gives all auspicious blessings,
This destroys all sins done,
This blessed one helps to get all duties done
If it is either read or heard.
